After all when we find intelligent life on other worlds how will we be able to communicate with them? And wouldn't it be nice to talk to your dog so they could tell you how they feel.

Right now chimpanzee trainers are able to talk using sign language, but in the future there would be no barriers to communication with any species once we broke down their language codes and programmed them into such a computer translation system.
